Mandeville Canyon Residence is modern dream home designed by Rockefeller Partners Architects for Mandeville Canyon, a small community in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, surrounded by Sunset Boulevard and Mulholland Drive.
This two story modern dream home is surrounded by the forest and vegetation which was nice inspiration opportunity to design this house with focus on the wooden surfaces. Main structure was built out of stone and concrete while details like terraces, balconies and windows were shaped with wood.
Interiors continued this flow with naked concrete surfaces which created modern feeling. To avoid cold and sterile atmosphere, architects balanced interior design with wooden ceilings, floors and contemporary furniture. As a result of 4 year designing process, owners got their modern dream home in the famous part of California.
